Just over two years ago at the start of February 2017, myself (Nick Sheldon), Pamela Wood and Michelle Harrison formed a partnership, a committee, and a group with the sole intention of bringing the plight of our beloved Leek Moorlands Hospital to the forefront of everyone’s attention. This website was built, the facebook page created,…
Thank you – Target has been reached
Thank you to everyone who follows the SAVELEEKHOSPITAL campaign. The North Staffs Pensioner Convention have reached their crowdjustice fund target which enables them to afford to speak to a barrister, so please do NOT pledge anymore funds. No more monies are needed for the crowd-justice fund. Thank you #saveleekhospital
CCG at SMDC – Feb 13 at 2pm. PLEASE attend!
Marcus Warnes will be presenting the *ahem* OPTIONS *ahem* that WE the residents of the Moorlands have ‘supposedly’ asked for. Forgive my sarcasm above, but these so-called ‘OPTIONS’ include beds in care-homes, and guess what, we HAVE NOT asked for ANY beds to be in care-homes! WE WANT THE BEDS BACK WHERE THEY SHOULD BELONG…
06th Feb *Market Day* (Tomorrow)
The CCG are having a ‘pop up’ stand in Leek tomorrow in the market (somewhere). Please feel free to ask them as many questions as possible (you might even get an answer). We are mounting a legal challenge to the NHS Stoke-on-Trent…
CCG Public Event – St Edwards School – 24.01.19
The Future of Local Health Services All 100 tickets were snapped up by concerned residents of the Moorlands, which was probably helped by our publishing of the event on our various social outlets. We must be doing something right as the week before, one of these events was held in Longton, where only eight of…
Our letter to the CCG.
Our Pamela has written an excellent letter to the CCG, which objects to their proposals. The CCG are trying to wear us down, with their endless consultations and meetings! Even after a vote of ‘no confidence’ they just keep on keeping on trying to shut our hospital.
