This is the start of the informal consultation about the future of YOUR / OUR beloved Leek Moorlands Community Hospital. I believe we can top our HUGE gathering and show of strength that we stuck up them at the ‘stealth’ public meeting. So, as we did before, share, shout, inform, tell EVERYONE you know about this meeting. Let’s give them something to think about..
This is D-DAY and this is probably our LAST CHANCE to tell them EXACTLY HOW WE FEEL.

‘Us Moorlanders have always punched above our weight, and we never roll over. We are different to a lot of communities as we ALWAYS stand together to try to make a difference. Remember the ‘stealth’ public meeting that was held at St Edwards CofE school that we rallied the troops for? Well, they are holding the ‘public’ consultation there, which, of course you wouldn’t know about it (again), if it wasn’t for this post. One of the wards is closed yes, and indeed staff have left. This is of course what ‘the plan’ was all along. I have also had news that surveyors/planners have been around the site measuring up, no doubt for the apartments they most likely have planned. Instill fear about your future for twelve months to prompt some staff to leave. Only offer jobs with a 12 month contract, then hand out notices and this leads to there being no staff and all of a sudden the whole site becomes unviable. THEN they have the audacity to stage a ‘consultation’ to make you think you have an option. REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO EMAIL OR CALL TO ATTEND (once again trying to make it as hard as possible to VOICE YOUR OPINION).
So let’s get this shared far and wide and let’s SHOW them the might of the Moorlanders!!!!’
